Goodna Street Life are raising funds to help get people off the streets, and into homes, and we need your help.
Why are they homeless?2
Homelessness support services are facing skyrocketing demand across Queensland with insufficient emergency and community housing and incredibly low number rental vacancies. It is estimated that there are 47,000 people currently on the housing waiting list.
As communities like ours struggle to recover financially from COVID, families who have never experienced homelessness before are struggling to keep a roof over their heads.
Simply, there is nowhere for people to go. This is why we need your support.

What can we do?
Our plan is simple. We help people find accommodation, and support them through the barriers and obstacles so they can secure and sustain long term housing.
Goodna Street Life currently provide crisis and emergency accommodation, transitional housing, and are developing our Homeless Sleeping Pods project, as a first step to ensure no one is left on the streets.
The next step is sourcing affordable long term housing.
In Queensland there are roughly 47,000 people on a waiting list for community housing. To overcome this challenge community and government must come together to increase invest in public housing.
All funds raised will help us provide housing and accommodation, and connect people to the appropriate support services to help people achieve independence.
Together we can defeat homelessness and ensure everyone has a safe place to call home.
