As an independent, non government funded charity, we rely on financial contributions of our members and the community to provide our services.

We encourage our supporters to hold a workplace collection, host a private fundraiser, dinner or bbq, and collect funds for this vitally important cause.

A contribution of $25 will help us provide accommodation for 1 night, every dollar can make a difference in someones life.

Workplace Giving

Register your workplace and help us create local community awareness and raise vital funds, and food donations to support vulnerable people in our community.

Register your workplace for our Workplace Giving program which allows employees to make regular donations through payroll deductions for immediate tax deductions.

There are other ways your workplace can get involved and give back to the community. Host a donation box, hold a food drive, have a staff BBQ or a drug and alcohol awareness session for your staff and you can make a big difference in someones life.

Every dollar raised helps our organisation deliver our homeless and recovery services, and is 100% tax deductible. We will also promote your organisation through our website and social media as a thankyou for supporting Goodna Street Life and the work we do.

Op Shop Donations

You can make donations of most items to our Op Shop at Goodna Market Place, 2 Smiths Rd Goodna, during business hours.

We ask that all items donated are in reasonable/working condition for resale as waste disposal costs the charity money.

Items we can resell include:

  • Clothing - Mens, Womens and Childrens
  • Bric-a-Brac - Ornaments, crockery, cutlery etc.
  • Linen & Manchester - Towels, Bedding, Material
  • Electrical Goods - Fridges, Microwaves, TV's, Kitchen Appliances etc.
  • Furniture
  • Other - If unsure, please ask.

Food Donations

Goodna Street Life operates a food bank from our Op Shop for people in need.

This includes food hampers, frozen meals, and fresh fruit and bread.

If you or your workplace would be interested in making a donation, or hosting a food drive, please refer to the list for items for our food bank.

Frozen Meals

Some volunteers and supporters also prepare frozen meals that we can reheat and serve.

Please ensure meals are prepared in a clean and safe environment, and contain food that can be frozen and reheated. Please avoid rice, and overly spicy/hot foods, and ensure all meals are frozen immediately after preparation in microvable containers.

Vending Machine for the Homeless

Goodna Street Life provide a vending machine for the homeless at our center at 229 Brisbane Rd Goodna, which includes food and hygiene products available for 10c per item, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

One of the advantages of this machine, is that it helps overcome the stigma of asking for help for people who are struggling to get by.

For donations to our centre for items we can use in our vending machine for the homeless please refer to the list below. Please avoid brand name items, and unhealthy snacks. No junk food.
